Dok's formula, which is designed for Painful bi (Cold bi) or Kidney Yang Deficiency bi, addresses the elimination of Wind-Damp, dissipation of coldness and tonification of Kidney Yang.
Indications and TCM Applicaton:
Weakness or laxity of tendons and ligaments, chronic tendonitis, ruptured tendons/ligaments, poor growth of hooves. Liver Yin with Blood Deficiency, dry eyes, tendon pain, cracked hooves/ nails/paws. Tongue: dry, no coat. Pulse: thready and weak.
Contraindications:
Do not use if patient has Yin deficient signs (excessive thirst, panting, Heat intolerance)
Warning:
Stop administration immediately if the patient develops diarrhea or vomiting.
Ingredients:
Morinda - Ba Ji Tian, Psoralea - Bu Gu Zhi, Cyathula - Chuan Niu Xi, Ligusticum - Chuan Xiong, Angelica - Dang Gui, Angelica - Du Huo, Eucommia - Du Zhong, Licorice - Gan Cao, Drynaria - Gu Sui Bu, Notopterygium - Qiang Huo, Myristica - Rou Dou Kou, Cinnamon - Rou Gui Pi, Lindera - Wu Yao, Foeniculum - Xiao Hui Xiang, Dipsacus - Xu Duan, Alisma - Ze Xie.
Dosage Top Herbal Formules:
Dog and Cats: 0,5g per 4,5-9 KG body weight
Horses: 15 g twice daily as top dressing on feed
Directions:
Use as needed up to 6 months
