Western Medical Indications:
Cardiomyopathy
Chronic fatigue and lethargy
Congestive heart failure
TCVM Indications:
Cold ears/nose
Heart (or Spleen) Qi or Yang Deficiency
Lassitude
Listlessness
Loose stool
Palpitations
Shortness of breath
Spontaneous sweating
Pulse: Weak irregularly or regularly intermittent
Tongue: Pale or purple
Contraindications:
Do not use in patients with Yin Deficiency
Warning:
None
Dosage for Horse:
15 g twice daily as top dressing on feed
Dosage for Dog/Cat:
0.5 g per 10 to 20 lb body weight twice daily
Directions:
Use for 2 months initially then administer for one month off and one month on as needed up to 6 months.
